The deepest intersection is a 3m intersection of Kavanagh at 1.1% copper and a whooping 5g/t of gold at Rl 400 which is about 800m below surface level and 550m below the bottom of the pit and 250m below the stage 1 mine plan area under consideration.
I notice they are including the Spitfire Load as part of the Stage 1 Kavanagh UG mine area in the following slide notwithstanding that none of its resources are included in the MRE or stage 1 economic study mine plan.. It will be very interesting to see how much better than 3 years and 36 kt of CU the stage one mine plan ends up being.
5 g/t Au. Could our copper be turning to gold with depth.
That would be nice.
Here's something to dream about.
"Gwalia is the deepest trucking mine in the world and can trace its history back to the 1890s. Today, mining at Gwalia has reached a depth of 1,660 metres below the surface and the plan is to reach 2,300 metres by 2031."
