That's where you're going sideways. Even the most coal loving politicians accept that some level of your "renewables" is acceptable. They're very accepting of a diverse and inclusive energy mix. The polar opposite can be said about the greens though, they want to exclude all hydrocarbons and nuclear from society... they're the real bigots.
