The great thing about Lithium from Geothermal sources is that the ecological footprint is minimal.

He has agreed that Li from Geothermal sources is far better than open pit mining as with Ioneer and Lithium America in the Thacker Pass both mentioned in the above article. This I saw from a tweet and reply between Pat Donnelly and Alex Grant who is from Jade Cove, Minviro and Zealandez.
Alex Grant was originally at Symbol who were developing The Salton Sea Geothermal Li resource and was in discussions with Elon before Symbol was thrown into receivership by their Loan Note Holders.
They took it to court and given an open verdict by the judge as he too, thought it was shady but they didn't have enough evidence to prove their case. Hence the open verdict.
The director of Symbol is now the Director of CTR in the Salton Sea California.
Joe Lowry, Mr Lithium at one stage was working at Symbol and has been very vocal and dismissive of the previous Symbol management he had them "traipsing " around the world instead of listening to him.
Well it got them where they are today.
Joe is a big supporter of Thacker Pass Li project which is on the graves of murdered Indians.
Having said that, the little fish of Fishlake will need their ponds and protection.
It is very important to work with the environmentalists and indigenous people from the start not against them which I believe Alex Cheesman fully understands.IMO
