Correct.
And BNPL just becomes a payment habit for the consumer. Before you know it, you're being pinged every 2 minutes with reminders that your weekly payment will be taken out today. Multiply that by multiple purchases (which you think you can afford now because your cashflow has improved) and you're just back to square one (and worse) with a ton of money debited from your account in one go - just like it would have been if you'd just paid for it in full in the first place! It's a stupid model and consumers will catch on soon enough.
