Just FYI, a loan isn't the only option.

HIO could, at current SP levels (although it would be at a discount to that if it happened) raise their capex via a share issue and still have less SOI than MGT. That's assuming full take up, of course - it would be a monster capital raise.

Or raise 2/3rds via CR and only have to borrow a portion of the capex.

MGTs big problem is that getting some or all of the capex via CR at even double the current SP would essentially wash away the value of all current holdings unless the holders were allowed and coukd afford to fully participate.

So HIO with lower SOI and higher SP just have more options right now essentially.

Both may or may not get up, this is no judgment on either company.
