This Brisbane to Melbourne intermodal (i.e. largely containers) freight train operated by Pacific National is very empty as it departed Acacia Ridge, Brisbane on the Monday Anzac Day public holiday (a long long weekend for many, who also took Easter off) but in the first 55 seconds of the video there are nIne LAU railable (probably all 'reefers' - refrigerated) containers, great to see:
(LAU's CEO Kim Lindsay previously commented LAU was moving more than 100 containers a month by rail between Brisband and Melbourne, much smaller than its increased Melbourne - Perth haul of 400 a month, but growing):
The most LAU containers observed on any train were 16 on a Melbourne to Perth train months ago.
Good to see the company carrying freight (or repositioning empty containers down to Melbourne) even during a holiday period.
