And there is NO way AVZ's deposit will be confiscated!
For one AVZ and the DRC government have a very close interest in wanting the AVZ lithium and tin project to get off the ground. AVZ with the largest lithium deposit globally is pivotal to the DRC's aim of being the African battery producing hub and AVZ is the only miner that sits on the DRC battery council. Also Moody's credit rating agency have upgraded the DRC's status, and funds are flowing into the DRC because of the strong projected growth from mining projects and confidence in the DRC as a place to do business especially with this new government.
The African investment fund has also allocated billions to the DRC with infrastructure projects and 545 million US specifically for the AVZ lithium project-PRESS HERE The growing confidence in the DRC has also been reflected in the DRC'S recent inclusion as the 7th member of the exclusive East African Community(EAC). This will open the corridor from the Indian Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean as well as north and south expanding the economic potential of the region to expand markets for goods, services and infrastructure including upgrading transport corridors.
The bottom line is that the DRC are doing everything to encourage investment and investment confidence and succeeding and to confiscate a mine would put the DRC back 100 years and NO one would do business with them! BTW look at the representatives at its recent battery making symposium, Tesla, CATL and Bosch, the DRC are WANTING INVESTMENT not disincentivizing it!
