Paducah was always a given "I believe" the US wants to rid itself of legacy waste, they will need the supply of natural Uranium to help with their own stockpile, and they will need a supply of clean U238 in the future as well for part of a MOX fuel, this is why the DOE were prepared to build a purpose built storage area at Paducah all thjose years ago for that purpose and it will cost millions to build, it will be used at some point together with a Plutonium Uranium mix (who said the US won't recycle?) which may be even more urgent now.

The US will also need HALEU, no escaping from that, for this purpose as well as suppling SMR's with fuel, HALEU is also a necessary component of making the MOX fuel work in a fast reactor, but the fact that the tails material is also at UF6 at Paducah plays a big part for GLE in my opinion, and not just for capturing the value of it for GLE, the US will need the Uranium from Paducah for local Uranium supply and because it is at UF6 already, which means it will also take added pressure of the supply chain for conversion, the US would also be well aware of that, make no mistake!

And along came Mr Putin, which makes it an even more necessary now for the US to be self sufficient, GLE are the right company and right place and at the right time, a little more patience is needed but the time is nigh, mark my words!
