AFR is reporting that REX is tyre kicking the Cobham Aviation business which is up for sale.
It is speculated the REX's private equity backer PAG is driving the possible transaction.
Short of building the REX empire of Australian aviation businesses, its hard to see any material synergy benefits. At least there would be no ACCC hurdles.
It would no doubt require an sizeable equity raising by REX to fund if sucessful.
