After taking a look at the Daily Gross Short Sales report from ASX for 04/05/22, it looks like AVZ had an additional 21.3M shares sold short yesterday. Taking out the number 1 position for the day! Second highest was 12.0M followed by approximately 4M or something. That should provide some context to some of the activity that took place yesterday

Looking at the broader short position on AVZ, Shortman has AVZ pegged at 146.3M shares sold short as at Friday 29/04/22.



Given AVZ was in a TH on Monday / Tuesday, and we know that another 21.3M shares were sold short on Wednesday, that takes us to a total 167,707,312 shares sold short, or 4.75%, which would sit us at roughly number 38 on the list of top shorted companies.

I'm personally looking for the trend line to reverse, which I believe should coincide with our next run. Holding out for common sense to prevail in the meantime.
