Both options you suggest are written with negative emotional connotations, IMO. On longer term positions perhaps, one option ( and this is NOT advice) might be to trim positions and think of it as averaging out, allowing some funds to be available for a recovery after a period of volatility. Just a thought.

Thank you! This actually highlights a different perspective for me. Thank you.

I trade very emotionally. It is something I am working on but its good to have it pointed out to me too so that I can realise what I am doing.
