no you have to segregate each type. Alibaba is the type you are talking about.
But Alibaba has no government ownership, in fact it has minimal mainland Chinese ownership (outside of the insiders).
I don't have exposure.
I have exposure to stocks such as Bank of China, China Mobile, CNOOC, China Petroleum, Petro China, Peoples Insurance Group China etc
All Chinese government majority controlled through various holdings.
And all through Hong Kong rather than mainland China. And all held through a nominee account that I pay for.
