Utah and Nevada have thoughIn Utah, up to half of small businesses are now accepting “Goldbacks”. The bills infused with particles of gold come in denominations ranging from 1 to 50, where 1 is equal to 1/1,000th of an ounce, and 50 is 1/20th of an ounce.
The company’s president Jeremy Condon says they’ve sold around $30 million across the country, and he thinks that could grow to $1 billion over the next five to six years.
The Utah series was the first Goldback series. It came out in 2019, followed in 2020 by the Nevada series
