I don’t have time to read over papers again but my recollection is that the tubes themselves function as a more noble metal vs the reinforcement.
There can definitely be occasional problems if stainless steel reinforcement or cast ins are mixed with normal reinforcement, though it’s not really the end of the world.

Agree that reduced permeability may compensate and my recollection is it’s all a bit conflicting. re literature
Also if it’s only an issue when the concrete is cracked it may not matter in prestressed applications designed to be uncracked in service - which would imo be one application for significantly higher flexural tensile strength.

If there’s sufficient conductivity for this to be a problem it’d also follow that it’d enable easy cathodic protection even if reo isn’t specially designed to be electrically continuous.

IMO though if you were serious about actually seeing CNT concrete used in serious applications you’d need to grapple with this stuff. As I’ve said above the discussion of this as a concrete supply/procurement thing is rubbish as is marketing it as a replacement for normal concrete.

It has to be specified by Engineers to actually get used and there has to be good data justifying engineering properties that imply real uses for it.
