That's no reason to not do adequate controls.
And it's obvious no one here really has a reason that they didn't do proper controls, they simply have snarky retorts.
It's the equivalent of injecting the cells mixed with steroids, vs saline, and saying it's the cells and not the steroids. Or injecting the cells dissolved in morphine and saying it's not the morphine.
It's a study that essentially is unable to prove anything due to poor design. Incompetence or deliberate?
