I can still remember when ZIP had a SP of $8-something and I said this thing is a massive bubble and will either go into administration or will be acquired for pennies in some fishy deal. Everyone was going at me and being ad hominem as best as they could. Seems like I was right, the majority 'buy' sentiment is suddenly gone, and the big bashers are hiding in the woodwork.
The reality is that BNPL is just one segment of a much bigger bubble economy that was created by Covid era MASSIVE fiscal and monetary "stimulation". Right now, global risk assets have lost more than two thirds of its value in the past few months, and no doubt there is much more to come. Unless the central banksters start their printing presses again and the governments begin throwing helicopter money from the skies, all these bubble stocks and zombie companies will die off, and that's a great thing for the world. Much of the tech, fintech (incl. ZIP), ESG, "green" energy (EV, battery, even some of the commodity companies) segment is still in a massive bubble.
