Part of me actually hopes that DLE does in fact work - If it does it should be easily replicable for a similar salar. I just don't want to pioneer the idea!
As for the argument of solar evaporation - Once constructed & filled Brine Ponds work on production rotation, so yes from commencement there will be a wait to harvest Li. After commencement of production rotation this is nullified as supply is replenished via pond progression.
No reinjection to aquifier is required for waste water & as such no further expansion of impurities &/or dilution of grade.
What is the project construction duration for an @ capacity (not just pilot plant) DLE project?
