And we are off to the races, or shall we say destruction of retained shareholder equity and balance sheet health:
Highest price paid: AUD 32.07
NAB buying back all those wonderful shares it issued (sold) only two years ago at $14.15.
You cannot do much worse then selling shares to the banks when they do buybacks and buying shares from them when they need to shore up their balance sheets in bad times (likely 2023 with massively increasing bad debt provisions on rising interest rates and falling housing prices).
