The SOP price doesn't appear to be widely available like coal, iron ore etc. The last I saw was from Trigg mining on their quarterly report on 28/04 quoting it at US1100 per tonne which at the current exchange rate of 69 cents makes it AUD1594 per tonne
There are some major factors outside of the control of KLL which are potentially very positive for the company:
- SOP price is very strong and increasing
- AUD has weakended
- Demand is there, no problem to sell every tonne produced
- Supply side loss of fertiliser from Russia
There are some factors within the control of the company which as not as favourable:
- Can't confirm if CR is needed for extra funds. Hope not.
- Have a little caveat in their reporting that despite the progress they don't know if the plant will work until they actually try and produce in June
- Let's not kid ourselves that if a plant that was supposed to have been operational and was announced as being in production in October last year still isn't producing then they weren't small issues to resolve. Even the most optomistic holder would have to admit that.
There just couldn't be a better time to start producing & selling. Come on KLL, just make it happen and don't make your long suffering holders sit through another CR or we are this close story. I decided to take a gamble and buy some recently because if they get it right there is a lot of upside from here but I still feel a bit like that money is at the casino.
