The only invasion to the scale of what Putin did was the US in Afghanistan and Iraq and these were due to the war on terrorism and not just to take territories.

No country has started an invasion to just take territories for many decades, if Putin think he can now occupy the East and South Ukraine he is totally delude. The Ukraine will push back with the assistance from us so this war will end like what happened in Iraq and Afghanistan and those who continue to say Ukraine was already in a civil war is incorrect, the LPR and DPR didn't have right to the land and were still on Ukrainian land, that's why Putin has only now declared he has taken East Ukraine for now.
