Mo’s words, reminds me of what highly respected figures, Roger Penrose (Nobel Prize winner in Physics) and Stuart Hameroff have been working on for decades which has now created some discomfort within the quantum world. By effectively having a conversation around how the human brain which operates at room temperature, quantum effects can form that obey the rules of quantum mechanics, they have shown what’s possible. They call their theory ‘Quantum Consciousness’ but I think we can draw a parallel to what Archer is developing here as a new substance, ie, could the 12CQ be for the simulated world what microtubials are for the brain?
Solely believing that harnessing quantum effects occurs at very low temperatures may be a good distracting for us. As the likes of Penrose, Hameroff and others move closer to proving their theories it may also assist Archer’s cause, or vice versa.
On another note, Mo’s comment that, Archer is not a ‘traditional’ Australian company is interesting. So its R&D and pre-R&D work may not be as valued at this point in time as it is in other tech-savvy countries.
The bottom line is that the power and potential of the 12CQ chip technology is not playing catch up. Exciting times if you are patient!
