But we don’t have the final data yet! Do you just not get it with the Primary Endpoint being OS? Recruit another 36 patients & maybe you would be looking at another 5 - 10 years for a Primary Endpoint quite possibly!
Trial designs are based on patient enrolment. IDMC & DSMB are Independent & I’m sorry to say that I think you may have your head so far down a rabbit hole that you aren’t seeing the wood for the trees in the forest.
The IDMC does not routinely stop clinical trials for overwhelming good safety & efficacy, it’s actually not a common event. It’s mostly safety concerns & futility & trials halted for that..
