    By the time she considers retiring there will be no such thing as superannuation in it's current form so taking advantage now is probably a reasonable move considering the tinkering that both side of the political divide have done since inception.

    If you look beyond the horizon at some point there will be an introduction of a social living wage, once again to the detriment of superannuates.

    Also superannuation held by individuals may be converted to a 'pension' that the state controls. Yes we are heading in the direction of socialism i.e. state control.

    I can understand how cashing in super now is very attractive and that is because people have realised that the super they put away was at the expense of pay increases in the past and a disincentive for those earning below around $50K - it's, just another form of taxation on the poor!
