How can a company plan for sudden geopolitical or supply chain issues that come out of nowhere?
If APE had for the last decade held 50 per cent excess inventory, analysts would be the first to criticise it for unnecessarily tying up capital.
The CEO has 20 plus years of experience at APE, and like his predecessor the inimitable Mr Martin Ward, Mr Thornton would know the sector back to front. I have confidence in him and the Board as does Mr Rob Milner of SOL/NHC etc.
