Bias? Make it fit? Josephus happily documented Herod's atrocities, yet makes no mention of a slaughter of infants. The population of the town was not likely to have had 144,000 infants, nor is the slaughtermentioned in the other gospels. The Coptics needed more than a bit of creative work to come to that figure....
