That's the thing, IMO many of the obvious potential downfalls at this stage of development don't exist.
    • The grade is good and well above 1.0%
    • The ore starts near-surface which should keep costs lower during startup and mean minimal pre-strip costs
    • The ore has been tested and can be concentrated using DMS
    • DMS produces high recovery rates when concentrating the Ore
    • Identifying ore is easy as the surrounding rock is black, the Spod-bearing ore is light coloured which will keep ore recovery rates high relative to the potential resource in the ground
    • The ore is lithium within spodumene - At least one Australian miner is prospecting lithium bearing Lepidolite with a hint of Spod.
    • Canada has a strong legal legal system
    • The Seymour project is about 250km north of Thunder Bay where hydroxide/carbonate processing facilities are proposed
    • Proposed battery plants are close to Thunder Bay so the next step towards batteries only involves small transportation distances
    • Seymour is within 10km of existing railway links (although ADV did note plans to barge to Thunder Bay rather than use rail possibly due to rail taking a long route)
    • Potential green power sources (Hydro)
    • GT1 have a management team with experience
    • GT1 are well funded for this stage of development
    • Good cornerstone shareholders exist
    • The recent capital raise indicates obtaining finance for a DMS based mine is possible
    • Management have been adaptive and altered plans as drilling results have warranted this so you don't have stale set and forget management.

GT1 only have 80% of the Seymour resource that is what it is, rather than being a downfall.

GT1 are still early stage so they aren't yet derisked around off-takes, regulatory approvals and financing. That is normal at this stage. The published JORC resource is small but there is "substantial potential upside" to this.

GT1 have large plans as they intend to get into down-stream conversion. Typically companies looking to do this have a much larger market cap.
