Hang on, so you have asked WD to price up the IP along the lines of best case metrics (similar to what we can deduce from company announcements) and they have returned a value of $500m?
What specific metrics lead to that price?
What price would be achieved by:
Cell size 12nm
Speed 5ns
Retention: 1 dayEndurance: 10 to power of 7
Power consumption: 1000x less than DRAMFurther time to market: 3 years.
These are the specific questions that must be asked. Otherwise, even industry experts get lost in just how special 4Ds may be and price up an acquisition of just a next gen tech, not a multi gen tech.
Id also be interested to know just how many competing techs WD has with these metrics. None?
