In the last 3 years we have been through drought ,unprecedented fires,covid pandemic, unrepresented floods and war in Europe,we were on the cusp of a balanced budget and Morrison deserves credit for that,our economy is in good shape and if Labor had been in power we would be in a similar position with some more debt.
There is enough money in most welfare programs but the administration of these programs has been poor .I know from my uncle he was on the highest package of home help and that was around $50,000 and that worked out at $100 hour for the service but the person was only paid around $20 an hour and she did next to nothing apart from take him to McDonald's now and then,this program was managed by public servants and farmed out to private provider so the bureaucracy is at fault and that does come back to the government.
