Regional PNG it not quite similar to regional Australia. You will struggle to find grid connected electricity supply in regional PNG (13% of the population connected to the grid), much less a good internet connection for ebanking (4G population coverage circa 20-30%).
IMO, this additional tax whilst extremely unfair is not a death knell for BFL and given their market position they should be able to tweak some things to recover some of this additional tax cost. The P/E ratio before the tax is 5.3x and after the tax it is still only 6.5x. Still cheap as chips.
If the government loses the current elections, there is a chance this tax will be tossed out by the new govt.
