In your example though, who is most likely to have access, bargaining power and supply lines to receive wheat and similar products such as vegetables?
Joe Bloggs down the road or a multi billion dollar company?
The market knows about the price of wheat, but these shocks on a long term basis are usually overdone as well as revert to mean in the medium/long term.
