Talk about taking things out of context, you conveniently removed key parts of the sentence. He specifically says TREATMENTS for Cancer have improved on the last few decades but there are still no proper tools to DETECT Cancer.
Nothing about them being worried, more he's pointing out that all research and development has gone into treating cancer rather than detecting cancer (the detection side is where IBX comes in). You need to know you have cancer well before you realise you need treatment.
