I dont see the problem. Shorters take a risk as well. Its a market. If you know where trent is going then you can make money out of it.

You could thank shorters for putting pressure on a stock so you can catch the rebound.

If ESG had a massive drop without news then this requires an explanation to the market, but not a progressive drop, or an upwards trent for that matter.
