In fact it is this mach 5/50 effect that will make metalstorm weapons a no brainer, when decisions are made about which weapon to select, because it allows things to happen that aren't possible today with any conventionally fired kinetic weapon, metalstorm weapons can have selectable range and selectable KE, that is these things are scaleable and so is the ammo type, using the same weapon with the same rounds in the barrel, this is not possible with weapons in the field today, weapons like the MPM L/NL (firestorm), Redback, ADWS, CIWS, and possibly the AICW as well will all benifit from this ability?
