Yes - even if meaningless for harvest time - rain is dang rain! Best to step aside and see how excited everybody gets. AWB, ELD, GNC, and the timber companies are floating.
A boat just went past with a dog on it. I yelled out Graincorp and it barked back at me. ;-)
I expect GNC to fall in a heap again all of a sudden. . . but maybe not just yet . . .
I've just noticed that the SP spiked in Jan/Feb in 99, 00, 02, 03(maybe March - hard to see on my chart), 05, 06, 07, 08, 09 (valley spike???), and maybe 10 is now spiking.
Interesting . . . any guesses out there as to why? Could it be farmers with paycheques? Or summer rains always being a surprise in the cyclone season? Or both? Or Christmas cheer going to farmer's heads.
If you agree with my observation - might assist with timing a sale if you are short term long, or planning to short.
cheers
