Soul, like God, is an assumption. The evidence supports the electrochemical process of life as being life, cell activity, information acquired and processed by organism is physical, when that physical activity ceases, life is extinguished.

If non material soul - what is that? - cannot be detected physically, how does it effect physical processes, magic? How does 'non material' interact with material without a connection?

The physical world is self sustaining, operates on its own principles with no need of proposing magical elements to explain physical properties, elements, chemistry, etc.
