I think you guys are all way over simplying what is logical decision. The Abbott factory is only out of action for 8weeks and all the loosening up is also temporary. The regulatory environment, the subsidies for US production etc will all return when Abbott starts producing again. In addition A2 probably has a much tighter supply chain and inventory management so there is probably not the excess to China stock available. a2 took the rational decision it wasn't worth diverting stock from the China market and incurring additional costs for the set up only to have it reefed away in 8 to 10 weeks. Moreover it tells you sales in China are strong because they don't have the capacity to divert. Thats a smart decision.
