Nice idea to break the tension !! However, I'm not certain that the depth of the oil column is the only determinant of how "big" banda is/may be. The size of the trap structure may also be important (and permeability, flow rates etc - if any).
Assuming there is an oil column - I would be happy with the same depth as Chinguetti - around 100 metres. Anything more would be a bonus. Banda is targeting the same channel sands as Chinguetti so I would expect them to be around the same thickness. Any geos out there have an opinion on whether sands are likely to be thicker in shallower water inshore??
Let's hope there is oil. It will be very exciting for the future of offshore Mauritania, WPL and HDR if there is.
Cheers
