Had a similar scenario well over a decade ago involving a major land locked gas reserve and after waiting more than 5 years sold the investment at a small loss as it was clear that unlocking this reserve would take at least another decade.  And true to form, a decade later, there is still no progress and the same set of LT holders pumping the value of this resource are still there today.  The share price is a shadow of its former self however I truly hope for those LTHs that one day it pays off however waiting nearly 20 years, I do not even want to calculate the opportunity cost of merely holding and not acting.

Let's all hope for a very different outcome here.  I for one am very positive on the outcome and that is why SHP is my largest holding by far.
