I have heard of a flash crash - but looks like a flash spike in natural gas pricing, in the last day or so.
Just check this out. Some Gov regulatory provisions whereby gas prices are now capped at $40/GJ. But will take that anyday.
Surely this is going to go mainstream political very, very soon. Out of control really. (bit like the SP here, except to the downside)

30 May 2022: Melbourne #DWGM has exceeded the Cumulative Price Threshold (CPT) and AEMO has declared the execution of the Administered Price Cap (APC) which will limited the scheduled gas prices to $40/GJ. DWGM price provisional prices of $85/GJ for 31 May will therefore be constrained back to $40/GJ.
