    Americans are very sensitive to racism because it's a huge problem over there (still). They are the ones who invented a new race called Hispanic after all (still unsure how that's defined).

    Americans also have a very insular view of the world and don't realise there are some countries that haven't adoped their stereotypes (eg only African Americans eat fried chicken) - I don't even know how that one could have arisen, but so be it. Now how that fits with West Indians and Australians eating KFC is anyone's guess. Perhaps they cannot distinguish African Americans from white Australians and West Indians.

    I wonder how KFC sales are going in the USA - has it been boycotted by African Americans in the last several years?
