nuke the whales

Just to get your attention, referring to Japanese Whaling in Australian and Antarctic Waters.
If it is a real problem for our Australian Govt. to do anything positive about stopping whaling in our territorial waters, ... because of "trade", etc., I suddenly had the thought that if we could make the whale meat somewhat "inedible", (because that is all that whaling is about, Eating them !, no matter what anyone says !).
IE. if we could do our own "research", by shooting a nuclear?radioactive ? pellet into all animals possible,...(definitely without hurting them !), within our Australian Waters, so that we can track and assess migratory patterns, etc., etc., .. bit like microchipping, ... but with a perceived risk for anyone wanting to eat them.

Once the news reaches the local Japanese consumer, I think they will want their whale meat sourced from elsewhere, .. which will at least give relief to Antarctic whales.
I wonder if GreenPeace could start doing this ???
As long as this would not hurt the whales, it would be interesting to find out if this could be done.
