Ive always assumed that retail trade figures (particularly in Cafes, restaurants and takeaway food services category) are great proxies for the health of ATM transaction numbers. The figures were very strong and provided a fillip to the AUD and also speculation of future RBA cash rate increases. One would expect this strength to be reflected in transaction numbers for CUS. Its even better that this strong growth was recorded in CUS's traditionally strong period (Oct, Nov, Dec). Just over 5 weeks till the half yearlies and business update are released so I guess we will find out soon enough!
