Parts of Britain tonight expected to hit -20 degrees C. Gas supplies to businesses in parts of the UK in jeopardy and may possibly be lost/cut in the short term. The spotlight is again placed on the critical importance of adequate and secure power sources and likewise a timely reminder of economic vulnerability and sovereignty issues that go with reliance on energy controlled by third party nations - in this case Russian control of a significant part of European gas supplies.
On the other side of the globe - severe drought and water shortages. What do you need to convert seawater to usable fresh water, correct, shedloads of power. How do you do that whilst minimising your carbon footprint - nuclear power.
In my view, all another useful reminder, if ever we needed one, of the ever increasing strategic importance of nuclear energy and associated inputs. Granted it is but one factor but personally I don't underestimate that as something likely to light/fuel a fire under the likes of BMN at some point when the realisation truly dawns.
What price on energy independence ? Pretty important factor to this stock in my view.
