Ferroalloy prices remain at peak levels in USA

Prices for Mn alloys have flattened in the USA month-on-month. SiMn (65% Mn; 16% Si) was quoted at $2,810/t DDP on average, while HC FeMn (75% Mn) was offered at $2,750/t DDP on average. FeSi price continues to strengthen due to a shortage of supply. The average FeSi price has increased to $6,710/t DDP ($6,150/t DDP in April).


One would hope that OMH is shipping to the USA, all indications are that OM Sarawak is shipping to the USA.

The US imported 48,509.6 mt of high-carbon ferromanganese in the first quarter of 2022 and 1,119.9 mt in March 2022. The major importers in the first quarter of 2022 (March 2022 in parentheses) were: Malaysia, 14,348.2 mt (0); Australia, 11,707 mt (0); India, 11,623 mt (702 mt); Russia, 7,751.2 mt (0); and South Africa, 1,634.8
