Mate, that is the reason the USA & the western world needs Li mined & refined in the US.
South America & Africa are debt owned or controlled by under the table bribes by China. Unreliable
as a source of Li for the USA.
How stupid is the US, if it does not guarantee the fuel of the future.
They could control the Arab states for oil in the past.
Li supply can only be controlled if its home grown.
Cheap oil is what made the USA what it is today. Li supply will have the same impact.
