Its also the insitu infrastructure to support a new overloaded east coast grid if you remove another 20% hydrocarbons from it, it has taken a 100 years to provide the supporting infrastructure and maintenance skills of our current energy supply and it will take 2 generations alone to train and skill the knowledge base of a new age energy supply system …. On another tack the real money being made atm on the East Coast is in gas fueled energy peaker plants that only kick in on demand and the price per KWH is unbelievable that they are gouging compared to running cost of the massive gen set, it’s becoming a real industry atm and one I am trying to tap into atm because of its insatiable demand at peak times that is going unfilled and brown outs occurring, Bizzare isn’t what’s unfolding atm and winter has only just started, and then comes the next phase being Summer with the 100,s of thousands of new split systems AC,s that are being installed all 4kw plus each and the thousands of new electric cars coming on line monthly at 20kw 3 phase whilst charging that’s huge extra load for the grid and our antiquated grid isn’t going to support these ballooning loads and it will be displayed with massive grid failures over the next 12 months and then the Government will have to do something about this poorly planned out unachievable race to renewables. This needn’t happen by the way but it seems the only way things are going to change is for this grid meltdown to occur before they do actually attempt to fix it …. Crazy hey!!!
