2010 is a huge year for NWE. It is my pick for the biggest money-maker on the market this year.

There is so much happening, and all of it is big, high-impact and imminent.

    NEWS TO COME:

    1) UK, Wessex Basin.

A high-resolution Ground gravity survey at PEDL 238 was successfully completed on 16/09/2009.

"IT IS EXPECTED THAT A REPORT ON THIS INTERPRETATION WILL BE AVAILABLE BY THE END OF 2009."

    IMPORTANT POINTS:

" The results of the initial Phase 1 survey completed in October of 2008 were encouraging, and complete coverage over the PEDL 238 licence has now been achieved following Phase 2.

Phase 2 and 1 results will now be combined and integrated with existing seismic data to confirm the petroleum potential of the permit. It is expected that a report on this interpretation will be available by the end of 2009.

Norwest considers that the South of England has significant untapped potential for new hydrocarbon discoveries and; has historically been largely overlooked and undervalued by
the industry when compared with higher profile North Sea opportunities."

    2) TP15 - North Perth Basin

"NORWEST HAS BEEN IN DISCUSSION FOR SOME TIME NOW WITH POTENTIAL FARM-IN PARTIES" Oct '09.

"Following the preliminary review of the FTG survey, Norwest now has enough information to confidently work on identifying and securing a suitable drill rig, and to begin the planning and permitting processes for drilling either
Xanadu or Redhill South, or both prospects."

From FTG results given to us in November we know that
Xanadu has a potential 98MMbbl oil in place with potential for 27MMbbl oil recoverable!!

"These FTG results significantly enhance the potential of TP/15, making it more attractive to potential joint venture partners. Norwest has been in discussion for some time now with potential farm-in parties.

Now the FTG data over TP/15 is available and highly prospective drill targets have been confirmed, we expect farm-in negotiations to gather pace, Mr. Munachen said.

The company plans to drill at least one, and possibly both, of these targets during 2010 and is now focused on progressing both the drilling and farm-out processes.
Importantly, both wells can be drilled from onshore sites using deviated drilling techniques.

    3) Puffin oil field

AED should be releasing an update on Puffin soon.
We already know that it is worth approx 3c per share for NWE and remuneration will commence in approx 15months.

    In summary,

    1) UK tenements:

We have massive acreage in UK which has never been properly explored because of the population density and other practicalities. All that was known about the basin was that it is next door to BP's huge Wytch Farm project. NWE has revolutionalised exploration techniques by gaining expertise in Full Tensor Gradiometry (FTG) which basically enables them to develop essential geological information prior to drilling. Had this technology been available previously, the Wessex basin would have been drilled by someone long ago and would be handsomely producing now! I believe we are sitting on something very valuable here, and we should have information on target sizes etc very soon.

    2) TP15:

The news only gets better here. Surrounded by producing oil fields, we already know this is massive. FTG data and seismics have confirmed this and it has definitely not been factors into the share price. When it does, it will re-rate to 8-10c IMO.

Norwests TP/15 permit has been under-explored because a combination of shallow water and complex geology has made seismic acquisition and interpretation difficult and
    expensive.

Xanadu would most likely have been drilled years ago had good seismic data been
available, Norwest CEO Mr Munachen said.

So NWE has done what others were unable to do and cost-effectively gathered all of its geological information. It has given us massive targets and is now sorting out farm-in partners and drill rigs...and it owns 100%.

Boy i'm looking forward to this to pick up pace. What 'til the farm-in is announced and the media gets a whiff of it.

Good luck all and as always DYOR. Don't rely on any of this to base your investment decisions. But just quietly, you'd be crazy not to jump on board :)
