I will post this bit because it is important, and also relates to what I am saying it was posted by the adder (thanks)!

does anybody here remember the Venom System? it is the competitor to the Firestorm weapon, both systems are being looked at to be chosed for the MPM L/NL weapons system, the decision on which system was to be chosen was delayed recently, why?

Anyway Venom is made by Combined Systems Inc, who by the way just happen to be owned by --- you guessed it, the Carlyle Group, so you see, I reckon they may have a bob each way on the MPM system and who gets chosen?

More "Venom" from Our Capitalist Masters

Should Raytheon's "pain beam" not do the trick, Combined Systems Inc. (CSI), a subsidiary of The Carlyle Group, may have just the right product for enterprising homeland security bureaucrats and their corporate partners.

The firm, acquired by Carlyle in 2005, is described in a blurb on Carlyle's web site as a manufacturer of "branded less-lethal munitions, anti-riot products and other related products that serve the military and law enforcement markets in the United States and abroad."
