I must admit, I was always under the impression that BAE would be the one to make a move on metalstorm? due to the connection of them having bought out Tennix and also their connection with the DSTO, they must have access to the mach 5/50 program or at least parts of it? especially with the second CTD for the AICW, another thing that made me think it may be them as well is that they now owned Bofors, which they bought from United Defence, who by the way are owned by the ....you guessed it Carlyle Group, so I started to google BAE + Carlyle.
Hmmmm they are in bed together also! this just gets bigger by the minute!
