People that want to short can't short it because they cant borrow the stock. When it gets into an index, passive index fund lend the stock out so it can be shorted. To be fair for people that don't believe in the technology they would think it's a great short. I think they will get burnt, cause they don't for sure it doesn't work, so it's a risky short imo
